As part of the American Indian Resource Center to provide resources for the Indian community, SET seeks to expand on virtual reality and other technical knowledge. The staff has received numerous training and classes to understand the components of VR development and design. Also, SET hopes to incorporate more Cherokee cultural components and lessons for the rural area with high Cherokee residents. 

Resources We Use

ENGAGE is a business-focused metaverse platform designed for corporations, education organizations, and even organizers to create their own virtual worlds.

Unity is one of the XR industry standard platforms used to create applications and tools that are used in virtual reality.  This software is available at no cost to educators and there is also free curriculum and online learning. 

Their training for educators and their curriculum are intensive, part-time professional upskilling programs with designer and developer paths resulting in a professional XR certification.

Unreal Engine is another XR industry standard platform that is built by developers that can also be used to develop games, produce or animate films, visualize spaces or products, and create next generation interfaces.
